Default best scale for big pike and walleye!!!

Just want some opinions on the most accurate scale for weighing fish!! The scale I currently have is the spring type and reads the same for weights from 5-10 pounds! The place we are going has some lunkers and 20- 30 pound pike are pretty common!! Lots of bragging rights and maybe some bucks riding on this so we want to have each boat with a good scale so all fish can be released!

The digital berkley scales are cheap and accurate right to the ounce. I weighed a pound of butter from the store in a grocery bag and it read 1 pound even.

If you're going to be weighing & releasing 20-30 lb pike, don't hang 'em by the gill plate or through the jaw. It can be very harmful to a big fish to hang it vertically. Maybe get a big cradle so you can weigh the fish horizontally???
Most importantly, take lots of pics & post 'em on here!

Best way to get skunked is to expect big fish, you have to kinda sneak up on them, pretend you dont want to catch anything, they know, (fish sense)

Tell me about it last year the biggest pike on our trip was caught by the guy in our boat sleeping!! His rod was cradled in his arms and he was sawing logs when a 25 pounder slammed his jig ! Poor guy just about had a heart attack!

Best scale? Its called a tape measure, either attatched to the cradle permanently, or a soft fabric tape for use inside the cradle.

Agreed, if weighing big momma fish do it in a cradle and be gentle. Good fishing.
