Default Lake Whitefish Around Edson

Anyone have any insight as to some lakes around the Edson area that have lake whites in them? I believe Fickle does. Any others?

A guy at work has mentioned that he believes he has seen them dead and floating in the summer on bear lake. The regs don't list them, so I BELIEVE that means any in the lake would be C&R only, correct? Anyone else aware of any whites in Bear lake??

Thanks,

Carter

No. If species are not listed, province-wide regs apply. http://albertaregulations.ca/fishing...eral-regs.html

Fickle definitely has the occasional whitefish. A couple years a go in late October, while fishing in a canoe, I caught a 7.5 lb. whitefish trolling a 4 inch sub surface rapala. Amazed me that the white actually bit that big of a rapala.

Thanks for the replies. I will give them a call and see what they have to say.

Also, I'm looking at some of the lakes in Switzer provincial park. Question there is what kind of access is there to those lakes? Am I looking at a hike in or can they be driven on? I'm guessing there's a bit of both?

You must live in a cave if you haven't seen Speckle's posts on Gregg lake in Switzer. Just look at Speckle55 posts on Gregg lake and you might just find yourself attracted like a magnet

Not a fan of those two F and W guys..but that's another story.
Fickle has some Whites as does Shinning bank. Go West to Switzer park if you can and you will find them. E-mail Speck he will put you on them I am sure.
Up by Fox Creek Smoke has some nice ones.
