Default Auger extension: Are they the same?

I have a 8" auger I believe to be a rebranded Eskimo. 33 viper. I also have a 12" extension. Will that extension for a 10"? Or jiffy 8/10"? StrikeMaster etc?
It's such a simple design it seems like it should just be a universal thing. But then nothing ever really is.

I believe they have different connections between the different brands. An eskimo/viper is most likely the same since it is the same company just a different sticker but a jiffy or strikemaster probably won't work for you.

Yeah - I'm pretty sure the Eskimo brand is also branded Rapala with the Viper Engines ...... the funny thing I noticed this is available only in Canada.

When I looked at the Rapala it was identical to my Eskimo - except blue plastic.

Default Extension

I know from Eskimo to Strikemaster the shaft size is the same, but the bolt hole is different. You could get away with using it with a 3/8 pin I think.

Might need those this year, as the winter progresses with little to no snow cover.
