selling pelts question

hey guys, this year I decided to sell a some of my coyotes and fox locally instead of sending them to Nafa. Yes they are tanned. I am wondering what the best way is you guys have advertised tanned fur. Kijiji? Facebook? buy/sell on this forum? other ways?

All of the above. If selling tanned fur, your market will increase 10x if you leave ear cartilage, lips, paws and claws (even for wall hangers, taxidermy skinned). You will eventually find someone that will constantly want fur (store owner, etc).

I believe you can not sell fur on kijiji anymore. I tried and my ads always get pulled.

I tried to sell some on facebook as well. The ads got pulled as well unless they were on a outdoorsman type buy/sell group.

Have thought of this myself. Especially on under priced dry fur like a pretty red fox. A tanned red would bring in 5-7 times the money.

ya i was curious if some places are less welcoming to wild fur or dont allow it at all.

Kijiji removed my ad and actually sent me a email saying it was illegal for me to sell my tanned wolf hide.

I emailed fish and game and asked them to quote the reg's which state I could sell a tanned wolf hide on kijiji, and then I forwarded the email to kijiji.

Kijiji appologized, but still wouldn't allow my wolf hide ad. They told me they stopped allowing animal parts/taxidermy sales because they cant police what is illegal and what is not illegal.

sounds like they just didn't want to see that poor innocent wolf on their website.
