Same deal with us, nothing but wolf tracks.

As for the fish, 11lbs 8 oz.

Thanks to Advanced Taxidermy and my wife a replica mount of it was added to the wall for my 30th birthday.

Some nice pics guys! Keep em comin!

My two over thirty inch Alberta walleye were both under 8 lbs... Long and skinny post spawn lake fish. It's my third season now in the athabsca/Clearwater River in the Ft mac area and I have BIG expectations for this years fall run.

I witnessed a 14lb+ come out of the mouth of the hangingstone around 1986.

I never caught any real monster walleye fishing those rivers, but I did get quite a few pike in the 16-20lb range. Biggest pike I've seen landed in my life came out of the mouth of poplar creek, 53".

That's pretty ironic .... lol

I haven't caught a "brag worthy" walleye in Alberta but the two biggest were about an hour apart, on the bow, right below Bassano dam.

I'm guessing they were 9lb-10lbs - they measured 29" and 30 1/4" - did not get a weight. I'd say average thickness not fat but not skinny either.

Beyond that - maybe a dozen 7-8 lbers but nothing that big in Alberta.

Mine weren't in Alberta either. At an outpost lake north of Kenora, Ont. The girth on the big girl was 17.5 so 13lbs according to the online calculators.

I'd consider a 10lb'er to be "brag worthy"! Anything 27+ is a beauty, in my opinion.

I honestly don't know what my biggest Walleye was.

I'm not in the habit of measuring or weighing anything. It just was never that important for me to know.

I measure now to make sure I'm legal but seldom to check for record qualifications.

I know I've caught Walleye over eight pounds and Pike over fifteen pounds.

Somewhere there is a school teacher with a photo of me holding a Goldeye that was estimated to be around six pounds. But none were weighted or measured.
And I seldom take pictures even when I have my camera along.

I've seen a 32" Walter come up near ft McKay, old timer was fishing solo from shore with a pickerel rig, I was with a buddy in the boat, we watched him battle it and knew he had something good, when he landed it he was so excited he called us into shore. I couldn't believe it. Here I am fishing hard for days and he comes along for less then an hour and stuck this pig! And I've seen pics of a couple 8-10lbers that came out of the clear water last fall. They are there, Just gotta work for em, or get lucky ! Lol

My biggest was just over 7 lbs, nothing to get too excited about............

I have to say though, I was SO pumped on my ten year old landing this 6.5 lber by herself on Winagami Lake last summer! I was much more happy for her than for any fish I have caught. That was a good day

I have caught a fair share of 28-32" eyes over the years but nothing close to my biggest.

Default 11.5 .....out of Badger

Don was that pic on Go Walleye .

We spent a whole afternoon ,jigging in there , with crawlers

Caught 3 , all nice .....not that big but definite keepers .

About 1980 ,At Dogtooth Lake just east of Kenora .
A Japanese guy from Minnesota had a 37 1/4 " - 15 lb 6 oz
Walleye . He had been staying there at the lodge for 2 weeks
That was the smallest of 6 fish he had caught . They were all in the freezer .
That lake had been netted for years but still some jumbos .
I'll look for the pic.

I know you personally, through your brother. We've met, before you joined this forum. You probably don't know it. I'm surprised at your comment. Bad taste, at best. Ignorant/rude at face value.
