Default Gordon lake/ pinehouse

Headin to Saskatchewan on Saturday. Kamkota bay is to expensive to tent it. Probably stay at Gordon lake. Anyone been up there lately? First time for my. Want to target some lakers at Gordon. Is there another boat launch on the north end of pinehouse so I don't have to use kamkotas?

I think Kamkota is your only option for the north end boat launch. He is pricey for sure. He also tends to charge for things like using his launch, fish cleaning hut, bathrooms, etc.

I've never been to Gordon, but from what I hear you should lock up your valuables when you are out fishing.

What's more expensive; paying Kamkota or replacing your gear?

Pierce has lakers, you can always stay in Meadow PP, Lac La Plonge has real nice cabins and good laker fishing, nice walleye holes in the area too.

La Plonge has lakers in it (east of Beauval), but it's a big piece of water that easily gets worked up so make sure you have a boat up for the task or good weather. Lac Eau Claire (south east of Meadow near Chitek Lake) is a much smaller piece of water with incredibly clear water. I recall seeing our anchor shining on the bottom at 100' there when I was a kid. There are lakers there, but they will be smaller than La Plonge. Pierce has already been mentioned. I've never been there, so I can't comment.

A licence might be hard to come by these days at a gas station or store . Most are sold online now......good luck.

Default Gordon camp site

Been about 8 years since I've been up to Gordon but used to be a nice campsite. Never had any trouble with loosing items. Gordon was always good for 4-8lb Lakers. Used to go to the back bay on Gordon to catch 12-18lb jack early in the year. You can launch on Sandy and fish by the river always good for walleye. Bring lots of jigs loose them in the rocks. Time to get back up to northern sask. beautiful country

You can get your fishing license online now. I would suggest doing it before you go as most places won't do it for you anymore. Park offices will, as will some stores. I would suspect that one of the lodges on La Plonge would offer it as well.

ended up going to la plonge. took me a few hours to figure it out but we did really good. 15lb was the biggest. lots of 6 lb hard to catch small ones to take home, but we took our limit. fished little amyot for pike and a couple walleye. tried the beaver river but it was slow. that's walleye fishing this time of year over there though
