Pull thru -- the best of both worlds. I park way out on the edges of lots where it's easier to find open pull-throughs, easier to back in if you can't and to avoid getting as many door dings. Besides, I need the exercise!

Back into it.
For safety reasons I always drive back into the parking, It makes driving much easier when you are driving out.

If you back into a blind stall, it's just that. If you have to back out of a blind stall, you have to back into traffic. On the other hand, if you need to worry about it, you should take a cab.

Many parking lots and parkades in Calgary (downtown at least) do not allow people to back in.

Who cares how somebody parks as long as it's between the lines. How about we work on that first.

Most people lack the skill to back into a parking spot without it taking a 1/2 hour and a spotter
Like JB AOL posted staying between the lines is already too big of a challenge

One of THE most entertaining things in the World, is to watch a couple to show up in a camping spot on a Friday night, guy trying to back the trailer into the SPOT and having his partner trying to guide him in to the spot !! PRICELESS

That's simply so they can use drive-by plate recognition equipment or at the very least their staff can read plates without exiting their vehicle, its not safety related.
