BowFishing Alberta/ Hunting central Alberta

I wanted to start using my bow to fish, i live by sylvan Lake and wanted to know if there are any places that I could go to try this.. Also any advice I have never done it before.
And the second question I have only ever hunted the bowzone by calgary so want to know if anyone has good tips for central alberta.. dickson dam, bowden, innisfail, elnora Areas??

Check the regulations, not sure if Bow fishing is legal in Alberta anymore.

"Bowfishing

A special licence for bowfishing is not required. Bowfishing is allowed under the Alberta Sportfishing Licence.
Crossbows cannot be used.
Bows cannot be used to take trout, mountain whitefish, Arctic grayling, lake sturgeon, walleye or northern pike.
Bowfishing is not permitted in Gods, May, Seibert, Winefred, Andrew, Gardiner and Namur lakes. "

Can't help you with the fishing but I know that there is some good hunting in the Elnora area and if you get out sooner than later, permission isn't the hardest thing to get. Good luck to you!!!
