Default Rural crime townhall meeting tonight!

For all those interested

There is a meeting to discuss rural crime in Mannville tonight at 7pm at the Mannville Rec Center.
Richard Starke had it on his Twitter and I figured I'd pass it along, should be lots of interest around here.

Don't agree with the characterization, but this did make me laugh.

For those that forget I'll be selling them at the door lol

Sounds like the Number 1 reason Starkes office is contacted is rural crime. No idea what he can do about it but glad to see there's at least noise being made.

So while the whole community is at the event, who's gonna be taking care of the homestead? Looks like a prime opportunity for people to head out looking for trouble

Are you aware that some victims of these crimes have been assaulted, and terrified by these thieves. Three ladies were killed by a vehicle thief just a few weeks ago.............not really a funny matter.

Lighten up a bit, jeepers, some times people just need to throw a little humour out there and go from there.

On another note, how did this meeting go?

So I assume nobody went to the meeting?

If you're not from the lloydminster to Mannville area then I get it but if you're in the area and stayed home I'm assuming you don't see a problem ..... Or it's easier to pound a keyboard than get out and be a voice.

All the more reason police and our justice system need to be taking this more seriously. And doing what it takes to protect the tax payer. We getting robbed by our own government . They need to start putting the hurt on thieves.

My wife has relatives near Paradise Valley had fuel and tools stolen from their farm yard. My daughter lives on a farm at Viking and there are problems in this area as well.
