Default A Generac 6998 nat gas generator?

Thanks to a previous post I've decided that this is what I need, the power has gone off here 3xs in this month once for 12 hours and yesterday for 5 hours, so this is what I want.

The rub is I can't find one in Alberta. Can anyone help?

All the usual places I look seem to be out of stock.

There seems to be a bunch on Amazon if you care to go that way.
$2599.00 - appears to be free shipping.

Keep us posted on what you end up getting. I'm also in the same boat and have started shopping around myself.

Smile What a web site!

I'll call the man in Kitsoty, I know where it is, we (my son's team) played a hockey tournament there. My electrician/gas fitter told me $500 to install.

I have a gas line on the porch that runs the BBQ and when he installed it he mentioned that one day I might want a generator. I don't have a well or pump, Stettler provided piped water for 10K to anyone who wanted it. What a deal!

Thanks very much.

Smile News

Scott is open 24/7 and he has ordered me one for $2970 delivered to my electrician in Stettler. I'm very satisfied. He is calling his supplier in the morning so if you are in a bit of a rush like me govern yourself accordingly.

Walking the dogs this am the wind was from the SW and it was very cold, so where I live this year wind = power out.

Thanks again guys I really appreciate the help. Bessie dog was a very close second but I'm a bit too old for that solution.

How many Kw for that unit? Includes transfer switch etc? Sounds like a solid deal.

It will be interesting to see what the charge is for installing the isolator switch.

Default I have a price.

It is $500.00. However I've been told that it needs a different "heater" for the battery and oil. I'm not clear if it is part of the price but I'm told not expensive. The battery does not come with but can be purchased from Napa auto parts.

Stay tuned.

Use synthetic oil. I haven't had a heater on the battery or oil ever. I have a 17kw generac. The battery is always trickle charged by the 110 coming back from the panel.

Default Thanks again

I wondered about that too. When the power was off how would you start this motor, now I know.

Does it come with a supplied or built in trickle charger, or did you add one ??
