Default Last day on Gull Lake

Heading to Gull Lake early morning hoping to catch my first whitefish before the season is gone. Any advise is very appreciated (spot, bait, time). I hope the ice is still good for my little car.

Access might be tough .....enough ice forsure.
Get there by sunrise.
Yellow ww tied horizontal with a light 4lb line in fluor or mono.
12-4 fow, whitefish can be anywhere from a foot under the ice to bottom a good starting point is a foot and a half to two feet off bottom.
Don't jig when a fish is coming in.
Don't use a camera
Maybe tip with a maggot or two.

Here is my catch that day. Some good sized perch (11.5 inch). Could not catch white fish that day as targeted, but was very satisfied with these perches. I guess it will remain a sweet memory until next season
