I have downloaded it and loaded it onto my unit but won't get to see what it looks like until we do the dolly derby in Kootenay mid April.

Looking forward to trying out a few new rods and reels plus getting some serious time on my new ride 115.

Rav,

You shouldn't steal from work .......... not a good idea to post it online either ...... evidence ....lol

I love the feel and action of my Loomis bait casting rod - BUT hate the fact that the line flips over that tiny little guide on the front constantly ...... just keep an eye on it. I don't want to fire a cast out with it tangled over the tip.

Quick way to end the day of an expensive rod.

I hope they gave you a nice hat and shirt to advertise their stuff with all that Shimano stock. I assume you loaded up for the annual staff purchase. Good way to save some bucks and get good quality gear.

Unfortunately they made me pay for them lol.

The IMX has regular size guides so I don't see that being an issue. I did have the same issue with my old St. Croix Rage though which did have micro guides. The walleye GLX spinning rod has some small guides at the end will see if I have any issues with it, if I am going to break any of these rods it will be the one.

The IMX will be my new heavier pike rod. I already have a St. Croix Avid crankbait rod which I am quite happy with for the regular size lures but needed something a bit heavier. I should have maybe stepped up the next level(next size up is 2-6 oz) but I think this rod will handle the lures that I plan on using(used to chuck them with 1 oz rated rods lol). I like that this IMX rod is a moderate fast action and fits nicely in my hand and lighter then the musky style rods. I have never liked the feel of the dedicated musky rods although I guess that is what a guy needs if he is going to chuck the big lures all day for musky etc.
