They can't hit and definitely don't know how to fight. Too many $$$$$$ spent on talent. Wide open ice hockey they have it. Still can't play as a unit (YET). It's a lack of playoff experience. Hawks have it.

It baffles me why Smith is allowed to stay in for 5 goals. This is the NHL, not peewee hockey. Even if the goals were not Smith's fault, after 3 it is fairly easy to conclude he is just not having a good day.

I came to the conclusion that Smith exercises a hypnotic effect on coaches, and he makes them believe that if they leave him in he will get warmed up and nothing will get past him. and then after five, the trance breaks, and he finally gets pulled and put on the bench where he can't get any more assists.
By then it is usually too late.

Tippett's press conference afterwards was really concerning. The sheer fact he plans to play both goalies equally through the playoffs is crazy. I can't think of 1 team that has won a stanley cup playing both the goalies equally.
I assume they will start Kosk on Monday. If he gets the win and then Tippett goes back to Smith for game 3, then the Oilers deserve to lose.
