I noticed that the provincial archives have posted a few vintage films.
This was an interesting watch. A little long at 1.5 hrs. but still good. The narrator/maker of the film sounds old. Heck of an adventure for a man and his wife to undertake in 1958. Not too many of today's females that would undertake such a rustic adventure alone with her man. Even more of an adventure because they did the trip with no firearms.

There is an interesting part where the couple go upstream on the river and he sees and picks nuggets right from the surface at a creek. At 1:16:29 it starts. Sort of a sad ending for the sack of nuggets though. I guess easy come, easy go.
Thought some people might like watching a real adventure self filmed six decades ago.
