Default Seasame Street Big Bird and Oscar has died

Someone that never won a championship but impacted more families than Gretzky, Jordan, Crosby etc. The most famous unknown person in the USA and who was a Canadian. I didnt think much on the impact on the generations until I read some of the articles written.

That was sure a good show, I never knew what year it started as it was always around in my youth when we had however few channels that were available and one was from Spokane...

Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but something seemed better about that show than other kids programming these days because they made it feel like a real & familiar neighborhood.

Back in the days when most moms stayed home and you came home from school at lunch or after school, this show entertained us. And without knowing it, we were being taught a lot of different stuff. Good times and I am glad I grew up back then vs today.
