Spent alot of yrs in martial arts and before a tournament it was Marilyn Manson "Beautiful People" on repeat. Not really a fan but this song just got me pumped.

I love that song. Play it at work sometimes and people think I am crazy.
When I helped coach high school basketball the last song the team would listen to before a big game was Eminem-Lose Yourself.

Sorry to hear about your injury. I can relate. i'm out with a concussion. Anyways before the game (hockey) team listens to GreenDay Do you Know your Enemy. Kind of fitting.

If we played at home,I'd watch Top gun during breakfast, and then drive like a maniac listening to i flew through the danger zone , and the Top gun anthem on repeat the whole way to the rink.

heheh I used to listen to Pink Floyd's album Animals before basketball games, and I always had Crime of the Century running through my head during soccer matches. If those dont suit you then....
I would reccomend anything by Slayer, particularly Raining blood
now go out there and kick arse

Hey TM & (all other AC/DC fans),
check out AC/DC Plug Me In the 2 DVD set that came out a couple years ago. If you dig that rawk with Bon up front you will love that. They split the two discs between Bon and Brian. Remember to TURN IT UPPPP!!!!

I played hockey in Calgary as a goalie and I would listen to Black Sabbath Paranoid, eat a Mars Bar and drink a Jolt Cola before the game. I didn't socialize with any of my players before a game. I just got myself in my zone and cranked it up. My girlfriend (now wife) thought I was nuts but as a goalie you had to get into the zone.

Last year I was tasked with making a music CD for my son's hockey team to play at a tournament. There are a few websites/forums where people discuss different playlists. One website even has all the playlists from the NHL teams. Good tunes.
Try this for starters: http://www.hockeymusic.ca/forum/arch...x.php?f-6.html
My personal favourite is Nice Shot - Filter, but maybe not so good for football. Good luck with your football. My nephew is a D lineman for the Kamloops Broncos.

Hey Bassett,
I know for my football games, i love listening to KMK - fullthrottle, then a few songs from killswitch engaged.. Then also some ACDC or Marlyn manson or Disturbed... Any of those bands will put some fire in your eyes..
By the way hows the season going, and how did those workout work for you?
Good luck the rest of the season.

If you could sniff some of what those Saskatchewan Rough Rider fans wearing watermelon helmuts sniff you'd have it made. They seemed quite pumped walking by my house to the Stamps/Riders game today.

I am completely different in this respect... to get pumped...I calm right down..
relax... clear my head...no thoughts...no lights...no world...no fear...no intimidation...eyes closed...press play.. first three riffs of Street Fightin Man by the Stones... eyes open...smiling...focused...ready...
I see you jumping...flexing...stretching...shouting...fist pumping...pointing...
It's already over, your body just hasn't realized it yet...
You stare me down...perhaps make some mother remark...a few taunts in the final seconds before it begins..and then it happens...
...you see it in me...in my calm...in my resolve..3 seconds before it begins...you feel fear... you realize you are about to be eaten alive...
2...1...

Nicely done BB. I'm glad I found this. Now I have the chance to straighten things out.
Firstly - Neither Treeguy nor myself were captain of that Ringette team, we weren't good enough.
Secondly - It was the Talkswithowlsknifein calf ringette team.
Thirdly - The version of the song you posted was decent but Tree and I preferred the original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGLZqDXau98 . It has a little more meat to it.
Fourthly - I believe you will look back on this attack with serious regret because now it's on. It's on like Donkey Kong!

Quiet with thoughts
I played a lot of higher level fottball. track, and hockey many years ago. Even now I find I get more pumped and ready to play with more quiet, sitting and thinking out the next plan of course. Some think I am a quiet king of guy until the game is over and party time starts. 25 or so years later and the same applys to other things in life. Just remember to be focused. I learned that at my first CFL training camp way back when is to have your mind prepared!!!!
