I used to have a Viszla and they are a fantastic dog. They are easily trained, obediant, high energy, loyal, hard working and great with kids. The only thing that I would have preferred would be that he was a bit bigger/taller.
I will be looking for a new bird dog next year and will probably go with a couple of Deutsch Drahthaars. They seem to be everything my Viszla was just in a larger tougher package. They can also hold their own in a good ole dust up with a coyote which is important to me because we have quite a few of them around the farm.
