Default What Happened To This Fish???

Went fishing the Bow in Cochrane and caught this Brown with a huge chunk missing from its back! What do you think this is from?

You can't use image tags for photos on your computer. Either need to use the attach button or use a 3rd party site like imgur or tinypic.

Looks like an otter or mink had it by the neck and then it got away.

No otters or minks live in this part of the river, I think it might be some predatory bird .

You said you caught it near Cochrane. There are plenty of mink in that area.

Maybe a shark? A UFO? bullet wound? A raptor?

No ..... very likely garden variety red spot disease. Epizootic Ulceritic Syndrome.
