Default Toronto’s Debt

Don’t think for a second that the feds won’t cave and we’re all gonna be on the hook for it. The sovereignty act just keeps looking better & better.

“We are standing up for Toronto – Canada’s economic engine – and asking residents to join us in this fight,”

“The City of Toronto does not have the resources or revenue tools"

If Toronto is canadas economic engine then alberta must be the fuel that allows the engine run in the first place.

Toronto, Canada's sphincter. The leftist's wet dream, circling the bowl. Of course they see handouts as a right.

I bet most of us on here could get that budget into a surplus in about 5 minutes.

If 'Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “personally committed” to help Toronto' he can do it out of his trust fund.

X2. If we’re going to carry their debt (most likely) I think we should be able to vote in their municipal elections. Fair is fair after all? There’s that whole principle of no taxation without representation thing to consider non?

Weak men
Woke budgets
Socialist agendas
Legacy projects
Bread & Circuses special events bidding and spending on sporting events
Mandate creep into irrelevancy
Lack of self-control
Special interest group pressure spending
Utopian visions
Acceptance of other countries welfare issues
Lack of practicality

And the geniuses on city council are surprised???!?!??

According to the article Toronto is the economic engine of Canada.

"“We are standing up for Toronto – Canada’s economic engine"

So a simple question --- how much of the their tax dollars go to Quebec as equalization?
