Try them on....They have a high instep and don't work with flat feet. I was in agony after walking a couple hundred feet in them. Great boots but they don't work for everyone.

Great info. Would any of you know of any vendors that actually sell them around Edmonton or Calgary? I'm a little worried about trying to order them via the internet as I'm unsure about the sizing.

The guy I got mine from had a booth at the GP gun show; I think he was from Beaumont and sells out of his garage.

Couldn't find him on kenetrek website.

I bought a pair at wild sheep show 2 years ago. They have 400 grams of Thinsulate. I was not crazy about them in the beginning as they were very stiff. Talked to someone who loved them and was told they really require a lot of hiking to break them in. Well after about 50 miles they are now the best boots I have ever had. I bought a second pair so i will always have a pair ready to go.
I just used them on a 21 day sheep hunt ending on the 15th and between the kenetreks and a good pair of gaitors we handled the snow and cold just fine.

I've bought a pair of the Pak boots for hunting this season - specifically for a northerly late season elk hunt. I have yet to truly test them in the cold, but they are very comfy, definitely waterproof and have a great tread. I ordered them directly from Kenetrek who in turn, forwarded them to their distributer in Ft. St. John. They were here within a couple of weeks. Kenetrek kept in touch via email with Canada Post tracking numbers to help me anticipate thier arrival. In short: great service - don't be afraid to order on line. As for the true field test...hopefully I post that in December, along with pics of my elk.
