Be nice to have another trapping show to enjoy. Wonder where it will be aired. For the heck of it I tried to find the snippet, but no joy even on ata site. Google does have your original post, though it say's it is allready 7 hours old.

I say the trailer for the new film, somebody had shared it on Facebook. Looked like it was well made from what I could see.

Has Brian Bilson made a trapping documentary ??? I've never seen or heard of it.

Bill's seems very well made. It certainly will be making a grand entrance at the Museum showing.

Not sure if Brian has made a specific Trapline documentary, but his media company has done lots of course with the wolverine study which incorporates the ATA, ACA, and trappers. I believe some has been shot on his trapline as well. All decent stuff. ACA funding at work.

All this talk about tapping sure gets my blood flowing.

How I wish I was able to do it again, even just once. This time of year is especially hard. Spring hunts were so looked forward to, it's hard to be on the sidelines.

I wasn't going to say much but you know me lol
I am open to any sort of show on trapping but the preview didn't leave me excited to see the show either.
I am sure it will be a great show and I imagine it isn't easy to make a show on trapping. At least we have people doing it and anything is better for the fur industry I think.

The snipet sure does leave one wondering what the content will be like. Showcasing at the Royal Alberta Museum with wine and H'oderves makes me think it could be interesting. I would sure like to go see it but will be out of the Country. I hope someone on here would be able to go and give us a run down.

Kudos to Bill for putting the trapping industry centre stage.

I agree...hate to say it but the music and somber mood makes me think that folks from both sides of the fence could think it's directed towards them!

yes, good for bill on doing it. and its hopefully alot better than the trailer.

not knowing bill. alot of his work is ADC work. maybe something he could also do, if he hasn't done it already.

is have a film guy follow emily and crew. running around downtown okotoks. trapping problem beaver. its a very important part of modern trapping that know one really sees.

along with some better music, it would make for great TV.

I'm thinking the trailer was done in a manor to create some mystery and hype. I'm guessing the film itself will follow a different format then the trailer did, but I could be totally wrong

Hmmm. Filming someone trapping beaver in downtown Okotoks. How fast do you think the anti-trapping folks would be jumping all over that one?

Thanks for the link. It looks promising...I like the music and the slow motion camera work. Hopefully it will be made available for us to view after the premiere...

I suppose live trapping and relocating would be acceptable to most folks, but there are a lot of dogs in that town, and I would think that would be a bit risky.
At any rate, I have not heard about any beaver issue there anyway, at least not anything being made public.
