Thumbs up Ice off Cold Lake???

Hey just wondering how the ice is looking on cold lake?

Six of us have a bet going as to when the ice will be off, looks like I loose I guessed the 19th. One of the locals guessed the 24th way off. Official report is that as of today more than half the ice is gone on the big lake. With the temps around the 20's should be off by this weekend.

be a while yet, was looking at it last night, ice free maybe 1km from shore, usually May long ice off, last year I was pushing ice with my boat on May long

lake looks wide open, all the ice has moved to the west end of the lake. Was down there yesterday and as far as my eyes could see, no ice. All piled up on the west end. Big change since 3 days ago, should be fishing no problem by opening day

Has anyone used streamers on cold in the spring for the lakers??
