I'm surprised there hasn't been more lakes already this year.

Websites are kind of a mess this year but only lookes like Bonnie, Stoney and Eagle so far.

I keep wishing this lake was better. Good size, nice little facility at the boat launch, great location near Calgary.

Don't know what facility at the launch you are referring to? I always go on at the no. end by the nursery

Just like years past it seems to grow the algae somewhere towards the end of June.

Severn should be the next one if it hasn't started to bloom yet.

At the campground, SE side. They have a little store, boat launch, dock and parking. I know they charge, but I've tried the launch by the nursery, was very shallow and weedy, I actually got stuck with my boat.

Most people forget the the primary purpose of resorvours is to hold water not fish. Fish are just a bonus and recreation is not the primary function either.

Eagle Lake is a natural waterbody.

I thought it wasn't as the irrigation canal ties into it.

Nothing new for eagle. happens every year. It is naturally just a big slough. it is dammed up to increase its capacity and depth, unfortunately the water is very stagnant and thus is prone to the algae blooms.

No irrigation going in or out of Eagle. Just run-off from Strathmore
