Default Incoming!

Just wanted to say hi. I am new to this forum and will be moving to Cold Lake this summer. I'm looking forward to some real hunting this fall, mostly whitetail and black bear. I don't have the amount of experience that many of the members here have with hunting big country so I hope that you don't mind if I ask questions as time goes by. On some forums guys like to play "jump the new guy" to show who's boss on the site. If I can help anyone with my knowledge just ask. I am a survival expert and experienced shooter and reloader but am still learning the ropes when it comes to hunting the big stuff.

Cheers

Frosty

Welcome Frosty. Is you handle a statement about where you came from or where you are going ? )

LOL Glad you found us. Not to worry, we don't bite. Some may chew a wee bit, but generally don't leave tooth marks and sides, we all have our rabies shots.

I think you'll find that most here are pretty layed back. Live and let live sorta fellas. Hope you make lots of friends and learn as much as you teach.

Keep your powder dry.

Welcome.

And don't forget the upland and waterfowl hunting. That might mean you have to buy a new gun for such purposes.

Welcome to Canada. It's really the women here you need to worry about. Think about it. They have all these guys skeered.

Except me. If you come from Hell you must know my sister in law.

I have had my eye on a couple of new toys that may follow me home. A new scatter gun may be just what the doctor ordered.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Welcome to the forum Frosty. If you've never been to the area around Cold Lake before you are in for a treat. I was posted there for a few years and I absolutely loved it. The deer in my avatar was taken about 15 minutes outside of town

Beautiful country, fantastic fishing, and hunting second to none imho!

Advice from someone who was new once, whatever you do don't make make the board aware you occasionally stack rocks on top of each other.
