It's the same everywhere's though, look at your typical McGurgles, A&W,Wendy's, the burger patties are so thin the cow never felt it when they cut it off him.
It's nice when you do find the rare spot that still makes a good old fashioned meal, log those into your gps.
The best place to find a good old fashioned meal is at home or mom's.
Nothing beats a lovingly made meal at home.
Just ask my nephew Jonah. He went to Hawaii eating baby bottled food. He came home eating steak, porkchops, bbq chicken, garlic and butter zuchini and green beans, bbq'd pineapple, steak and eggs for breakfast.
Oh just dont expect his answers to be all that great....he's only 10 months old!

His poor mom is having fun trying to feed him since coming home.

I think the reason KFC has changed is I don't think they make chickens the same anymore.

I'm comming for supper mom!
Just kidding, we have excellent home made meals but occasionally it's nice to give the wife a break and just let someone else do the work. Those places are making it hard on my wife to get a break now a days.

I understand.
You're welcome for dinner, just let me know when I will make an extra serving or two.

I am excited to make some terri-bugers, I brought back the stuff from hawaii.
Burgers should be no thinner than 1.5 inches thick
Same with steaks
Chops
and Never boil chicken before bbq'ing it, my neice said in Hawaii she hates chicken breast cause it is dry and flavourless. Well she ate her words and asked me to teach her mom how to cook it like Aunti Jen does.

Funny we were talking about TBQ while in Hawaii.

There used to also be 2 places to get great halibut and cod
One in LaSalle and one in Windsor.
Tuesdays was half price day
They had damn good coleslaw too.
my mind is failing me the name of the place.

St Hubert best I've ever had.
swiss chalet sells the gar**** that kfc didn't want(IMO)
kfc lost out in the saturated fats fights ( lard ) the C rap they use now is much like it was cooked in tallow instead(rancid to boot!)

I think it tasted better when I was younger cuz my guts could handle the grease better then. Didnt eat out often because my folks grew up in the 30s and were kinda close with their money. When we did, kfc was popular, and it did keep the hoop lubed. One way to get the old taste back is to ask for extra skin. mmmm

Only thing is, I can't figure out how they can sell a whole chicken, roasted to perfection, for $6.95, when a uncooked chicken costs $10-11.
That`s because it has been sitting, waiting to sell for a month.Rather than throw it out the smear BBQ sauce on it and slow roast it until some poor dumb b@stard buys it.

Since I created the post my mind has been filled with impure, yet fatty thoughs. I brok down and deep fried 8 lbs of wings last night for supper in a turkey fryer.

I washed them in salt first, fryed them at 375 for 25 minutes, made a canjun/ paprika/salt & pepper/garlic salt rub and the drenched them in Frank"s Hot Sauce. MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm. I could hear my arteries harden.

We ate them in less time it took to make 'em.....!
