Default Beaver plucking or shearing

Looking for a info on best practice when plucking a pelt or where to send them to in order to get commercially sheared. Thanks!

international fur in whinnipeg does a nice job. prices arent bad, they did raise them recently though so i would double check

Thanks for the contact.

Has anyone tried hand plucking guard hairs?
If not what stage of the pelt would you say is best to try n pluck them by hand?

The guard hairs in the back are very easy to pluck however the sides and all the belly guard hairs are very difficult. Don't bother trying to pluck it yourself, get the tannery to do it. It's going to cost the same and it won't get screwed up. International does a great job on beavers
