I'm working nites but keep getting picture texts... My buddys are out slaying them tonite.

Went to my sturgeon honey hole today. Only hooked one, very rare. River is lower than i have ever seen it. Gotta take the boat out to get em I guess.

Yea Ive been fishing the NSR, Ive only caught 1 stergeon 3 footer, No luck on walleyes, I was told they are in the deeper area's river. I used some rotten bait they stergeon went crazy.

im sure we would have caught more they where going blastic but we ran out of bait and then the lightning started so we called it a night about 9:30. that was my buddys first sturgeon, i hooked up on it but passed the rod over to him to fight it,
fork length was about 39"
i figured he was about 12-15 pounds not tagged either

Just put an old rotten chicken on a halibut hook, hook it up to the winch of your truck and wait !!!!

Grandpa says that's how they used to catch them on the Oldman river! Well, almost; they'd tie it on to the bumper of the truck, then drive the truck once they got a big one on the hook.

Couple of the boys went out last weekend but do to prior commitments I couldn't make it. Come next morning this is what they sent me just to rub it in.. They put 6 sturgeon in the boat over 4 hrs with this one being the biggest. Weighed in the cradle at 65lbs..
Proof that there are still some nice ones lurking in the SSR. We are headed out tomorrow for a run.

WOW! That get's me excited! I fish for sturg in the S.S.R as well and I'd have to say that's the nicest looking sturg I have ever seen. Koodos to your buddies! Musta been an awesome fight.
