Default Rain/Snow Accumulation in your Area ????

It started raining Tuesday evening, Sept 11th in Sylvan, woke up on the 13th to snow white & it's been raining/snowing on & off up to today the 16th.

Looked at the rain gauge this morning and was a bit surprised to see approx 1 ¼” or 30 mm, forecast for the next 6 days is 30-60% rain/snow mix. My golf is on hold & our tomatoes are hiding in the garage, that sure sucks.

What does your rain gauge say ?

D.

Sept 16th around noon.

Thursday Morning Sept 13th - Sylvan G&CC #18.

No rain gauge out, but another 3" of heavy wet snow this morning on top of what we've had the last 5 days

6 tenths of rain here. Saw some light snow flurries but it melted right away. But farming is delayed for a while for sure....and the forecast doesn't look too good.

Over the past week, 2.5” just east of Edm in the rain shadow. Still much below “average”.

Several inches of snow on the ground north of Hinton. Had a good half inch of ice on the creek the other day too but the wet snow melted it

We got a total of about a half inch out of the last storm, which was over four days ago.

Of that, only a trace was snow, which melted pretty much as fast as it came down.

The past three days have been warm and sunny, with freezing overnight.

North and south of us they got more, enough that there is still some snow on the ground in shady spots. From what I've seen, I'd guess they got no more then an inch of snow in any place I've been in the past couple of days.
Which is from Peace River to Keg River

Sept 22nd ... this started last night & this is what we got in Sylvan this morning, a large limb broke off our old Willow tree. I imagine the farmers arn't happy, as well the Men's League wrap up tourney is tomorrow!

Randy ... when this melts, I can come out to Pigeon & perhaps we can still get 18 in before Turkey Day ?

D.

Rain Gauge is snowed under.

Self-pruning Willow Tree.

Yup... same scenario in Rocky.

West central Alberta... nothing is a surprise when it comes to weather.

A person could put a happy face spin to it but the reality is... it sucks.
