1) I like the Rapala 'Shad Rap' in perch, so do the Eyes.
2) I keep a Mepps 'Syclops' Spoon in the box for the Jacks.
3) The good ole pickeral rig and shiner minnows.
4) Soft jigs of any kind. Yellow my fav color.
5) Recently, my small frog, and mouse flies/lures I toss right in the middle of standing weeds. Go frogger Go!.
6) Rapala, Blue fox, and any other nice Minnow lookin crank-bait is usually on my line while I cruise for fish.

Lures
Not much of a lure guy myself, mostly use rigs
Spinner rigs
Lindy rigs
jig and bait
Drop shot rig
Slip Bobber rig
So far this summer I have used Gulp bait almost exclusively (have not slip bobbed yet though), leeches, worms and minnows. On two occasions both 4 day fishing trips, the partner used real bait, I used Gulp, basically no difference in catch rates. I have been using mostly trolling techniques so far.

Ya that gulp stuff is amazing. Its also around the same price as bait now, so I bring less and less bait every trip.
After years, and years of looking at the blinking LED crank-baits at Wally-world, I bought one. Yet when I got it home I put it in the sink and shook it around since its only 'supposed' to work when its in water, but it would blink once every 5 mins so I brought the thing back.
Anyone used those lures? I know some people would frown upon them, but I would think they could be very effective in low viability. At least a pike would react to the blinking red light, I'm sure.

All natural , all the time
These are my all time favourites , some are hard to come by in
Alberta , but back in Manitopickerel no problem
1... Fresh Crow meat , stays red in water on 1oz.
bucktail . Big Lakers on the Athapap .
2...Live baby Ducks or kittens ( if in season )
for Big Musky on LOTW.
3... Half Frozen chicken livers for Big Channel cats
on the Red.My personal best 42 lbs)
4...Frozen moose entrails ( hook has to be buried before
freezing ) for humongous pike on the Warpath .
5...Half cooked yellow potato on long shank hook
for spawning carp ( most over 35 lbs ) in
the Netley marsh
6... Lime jar ( handle with care ) for spawning creek
fish ..
Most of these methods and baits are local favourites .
But hey " when in Rome "
My top 6 hard baits are , Canadian Wiggler , Heddon river runt
