Alberta Hunt Map
Posted this in the 2020 draws thread but figured it may be useful for more than just draws.
I found www.albertahuntmap.ca today. One of the best presentations of the draw and WMU info I've found. Makes it really easy to figure out what your priority levels make you eligible for. They only have WT, mulie, elk and moose, but it's better than nothing. Should be helpful for deciding what draws to apply for today or even just where to hunt if you are targeting a specific species or area.

Good tool, thanks,
But it doesn’t seem to split the season codes like for cow elk.

Not sure what this means, can you provide an example? I am able to select "Antlerless" from the drop down list and also select elk.

From how I view it you can hover over the dates option and it will show dates and the Priority and % corresponding to that season is the lowest priority and the percent at that priority that drew last year.
Handy tool definitely quicker to use then going through historical draw summaries. Nice to be able to see all species in the zone in one window.
Very good tool, thanks for providing this link

I was looking at some Cow draw areas and it seems to split them out. 312 for example shows three season cow Antlerless Elk

Seems like the success rates are included now as well - super impressed with this resource. Thanks for linking it. Bookmarked.

I’m curious. What does it mean by success rate? Is that a daily measure, or is it just a tag measure? So if a draw zone has a 50% success rate, does that mean only half the draw tags were filled? Or does that mean I have a 50% chance of success each time I go out? I’m assuming it’s a daily measure but I just wanted to clarify. Thanks In advance!

I believe it means how many hunters who tried for that species in that WMU were successful in 2019. I don't think it factors in how many days they hunted or anything. So if 50 hunters tried in WMU 162 for elk and only 15 were successful, it would have a 30% success rate. Those stats are pulled from here I'm assuming: https://mywildalberta.ca/hunting/hunters-harvest.aspx

Thank you everyone for finding and using the site. I'm glad that you have found it helpful so far. I have added the antelope seasons, draw priorities and success rates.
Still lots of enhancements coming down the pipe (such as sheep, goat and game bird seasons). If you have any suggestions or find any bugs, please let me know.

Any update on when the remaining 2020 fields will be updated now that draws are out?

The 2020 draw booklet was released, but the official regs have not been released yet. The draw booklet has the 2020 season dates for the applicable species, but I likely won't be importing the 2020/2021 season dates until the official regs get published in July.
Just as an FYI, the "Draw priority" column contains the previous year data for the minimum priority that was required for that species and type, as well as notes about the dates for that particular draw. Those dates may or may not line up with the official season dates as published in the regs. Basically pulling from two different data sets - Albertarelm for the draw history, and Albertaregulations for the season dates.
