Default Launching at Travers

Hi guys,

My boys want to try a new lake and I have always wanted to fish Travers, but I have never put my boat in there.

Is the public allowed to launch at the "resort" that is just down the road from SABC or does the general public have to launch from the provincial park on the west end of the lake?

Thanks for the info.

the provincial park has a public boat launch as mentioned, if you use this launch just becarefull when you are going towards the main lake somewhere before you enter the main lake there is a sunken island that always catches new boaters off guard. just use caution.

I use the launch on the east end of Travers. Closer for you if you live in Coaldale.

I would avoid the Park on a warm weekend day if you think you may need a little extra time at a new launch. It was really busy (and i saw some really interesting practices) on Saturday and I can only imagine the stress level rising quickly with a lineup behind you. Other than that the launch is in good shape.
