No the recovery crew gave up that day. They made an attempt lifted the truck a bit and then had to pull back because the ice was going down and water was flooding up onto the ice. The just cleared a trail in the snow to the truck and left. As of noon on Sunday the truck was still there.
On a side note someone else decided to drive out onto the lake on the nicely plowed trail but they didn't go very far before they stopped and parked and then went fishing

Conditions at Snipe have been pretty variable this year. I was out end of November, 4 groups out on the ice, 2 people broke through right beside where we all walked on and walked off. From what I can tell, the ice has sunk and flooded twice so far this year on Snipe.
So ya saw me fall through? Decided to go hunting instead, apparently I weighed more than everybody else XD.
