yeah quantums are pretty good reels but they really have to step up there game and make them lighter. the new smoke reel is apparently going to be the lightest spinning reel quantum has made.

It does look like a pretty lite reel but I am sure the price tag on it will steer me away from it and keep me sticking to my pflueger presidents.

My tourney partner uses all quantum reels and really likes them. They seem to hold up just fine. I just like the cheaper price of the presidents over a similar model quantum.

i dont know the price but i know it has a new max cast spool lip design which increases casting distances 5-10%, it is 7.3 ounces, its all metal, it has 10 bearings. on the quantum website it says "fishing at a quantum level is about to reach a whole new level" 24 days until launch. maybe it will be the smoke spinning reel.

If the price is any where near the smoke baitcaster they will be around the 250 to 300 range..
IMO they will be lite but not as good as the CI4
