" I just started kicking his a.......... subduing him"
"I handcuffed him..... and gave him a couple shots..........don't tell anyone"

Good story, and our hero seems to be a bit of a comedian too.

Good Job on that Plumbers part. I don't know if "Most" would do the same thing but I think that a lot would. Lucky for the Constable he was there at the right time.

I didn't realize Macgyver became a Plumber! LOL.

That there fellow is a credit to humanity! Good for him.

I wonder what set off the psycho attacker, if he just saw the opprotunity to attack the officer and felt he was at an advantage due to her being little (5'1" by rescuer Blair's account)? Either way the attacker deserves the chair; too bad we don't have one. Odd they didn't name the attacker in any of the articles.

Cudos to him for sure...

This is a prime example of why I don't want to be a cop. They could not pay me enough to do that and take those kind of risks. I have friends who are cops...they have families just like the rest of us.

Would have been an even better story if it read:

Man with concealed carry permit shoots would be murderer off of cop

But then again, it worked out fine this way too

I hope they hang a medal on that guy in the very least

Default Thanks

I started reading all the comments and had to check out what forum I was on. I quickly rebooted the computer, and logged in to Alberta Forums again, looked at the thread.

I was in shock. I haven't seen this much positive cop talk on this site ever.

I want to thank all of you. I love my job and I bet you that b.c cop does to.

I know we have all heard and seen bad cops doing bad things as of late and want to point out to everyone, yes there are bad cops and yes I want them fired as much as you all do to.

I'm not trying to steal the thread/show away from this guy who is a hero in my books.

I just wanted to add a little humour

Thanks again to all of you

X2 - Got a kick out of that too. Great ending to the story, other than the injuries to the cop.

LOL! I thought the same thing. I would think that he now has a " Get Out Of Jail Free Card" in the Victoria area as long as its for something minor! LOL!

I agree totally, he should get a medal. I've see alot of policemen & firemen getting medals for saving someone, bout time a citizen gets the same recognition.

Any cop that stops him for speeding will probably shake his hand and buy
him lunch after processing his ID.

Nicely done, we all need to take responsibilty for one another. Reminds me of the case in the 80's where a hunter down south shot a man who was shooting at a police officer.
