Default Lakeland county

Thinking of heading out on the quads with a buddy. Wondering how the snow and trails out to Kinniard, blackett, elinor lake are? As well as the walleye pike fishing. Even access points for unloading would help.

Went out there last Thursday. There was a lot of flood water on every lake. You may have a tough time getting around. There will probably be an inch or two of ice and a few more of water below it. Perfect for getting stuck. Fishing was slow to poor on kinniard, blacket and dabbs. I'm pretty sure Dabbs winter killed, as it is prone to doing. Not a fish on the finder or on a trap.

You can find some great maps by searching Lakeland provinal park, but the two main staging areas are on the way to pinehurst and touchwood. If you head to pinehurst you will see the staging area on the left about 5km before pinehurst lake. Same thing for touchwood. Lakes have not been producing this year.

Personally I would say your better off fishing Spencer. Its mostly stunted walleye but should keep your lines busy. An excellent place to unload is right before Siebert lake. There is a small staging area with a quad ramp. If you decide to go to Pinehurst instead you can easily go there from that same staging area.

Note of caution... If you head into Spencer take the legal access along the range line on the north west corner of Seibert. Word is wardens have a few trail cameras on the shorter illegal creek access on the north east corner of Seibert and people have been getting tickets in the mail.

Here is a link to the park map. There are several other better versions out there. http://www.albertaparks.ca/media/767...nd-map-web.pdf
