Default Dear Oilers Fans

As you settle down to watch our boys finally engage again in the chase for Lord Stanley's mug, may you savor the moment with your beverage of choice, and give thanks that the heavens have seen fit to repay our long-suffering with the second coming of #99.

Enjoy the ride boys! Let's hope it's a long one!!

PS: If you are a Flames fan, I hope you guys beat the Ducks in a long, tough series. I like your exciting team too!

I like a classy Oilers fan. I'm of the same mind, I hope the Oilers have a successful playoff run, and McDavid is probably the most exciting player in hockey today imo. Hope the Flames can get over the Duck Curse, and have a great playoff too.

My most fervent wish is for the Alberta trams to be the best in the West... The Oilers just a little bester... Lol

As one of the commentators pointed out...the Oilers have few players with actual playoff experience.
Playoff hockey is a whole different mindset than regular season play...hope they can overcome it but I wouldn't bet money they will.

Aye, there's the rub. Regular season success doesn't necessarily transfer into the playoffs. No more so than in the NHL. The playoff record of President's trophy winners capturing the cup isn't great. Different game in the playoffs requiring different discipline and skill set. Game planning goes to a whole new level.

They sure did..... in every aspect. Never seen the oil so physical. And kass played like a beast. He was in a zone that nobody else could reach.

By that same reasoning though, will the Sharks will be just fine because they dominated the Oils in Game 1? Not saying they won't be, just seems like odd logic...

I've been an Oilers fan since 1975. That's the year I got a transistor radio for Christmas and have followed them since. Even got to meet Rod Phillips a few times in the '80's. 1975 was the year I changed my alliance from the Canadiens to the Oil. I sure hope we have a long run this spring.!

As a true blue and orange Oilers fan there is no way in hell that I can wish anything good on that other Alberta team. Never. ABC

BW.

Actually they keep him caged up and only let him out for games. Must have fed him some extra rare meat before last night's tilt.
