Lots of great rides being talked about here. AB, BC, Northwest US and the coastal Hwy, Baja to Cabo. Bucket list stuff for me, still have a few years til I retire. Keep the pics and tales coming guys.
The other half of the fleet.

One thing that bugs me but given the fact that you travel down in the dead of winter understandably.....trailering....guys have mentioned a road trip and I pop up then they say we trailer our bikes for four days then ride around a 100km area and the trailer back....not for me.....

the wife and i happened to be in florida during biketoberfest so we headed to daytona beach for a couple days . there were lots of trailers in the campground with florida plates on them . i had a couple beers with one of them and told him i thought he was nuts for trailering his bike for two hours just to ride around daytona beach . he told me i was nuts for riding all the way down from canada . turns out were all nuts . it all depends on what floats your boat i guess .

Figure I'll toss in my ride to keep this non-covid conversation going . Yamaha Star Venture TC. Got it last year. Didn't get as much riding as I wanted because of all the rain but did manage to do about 5K all the same. Everything from commute to work to a nice ride out to Rocky Mountain House and back along Brazeau Reservoir.

Ride
Will have lots of time now to work on this Ironhead. A build for my grandson which I hope to have ready for him for when he's 16 (2 at the moment ). He loves to wrench on it with me. Hope to have it at least on the road ( not finished of course ) this summer for a little two wheel fun. Other than that it will be local rides to the foothills, S. Eastern B.C and maybe a run to the island on the couch.

if i remember correctly they were reporting over 100,000 bikes .the main arteries had cops directing traffic they would hold the bikes back till there was 20 or 30 then stop traffic for everyone to go . it was deafning . this was about ten years ago . i had a flip phone , no camera . but yeah , there was some scenery .

Sweet bike. Had one similar to that, I eventually switched to a larger tank.... was getting like 130km per tank. Love the look though.

Thanks. Had been away from riding for a while but wanted a nice bike for me and my wife. Still can't believe she told me to go get a bike when I started that conversation and even harder to believe she told me to get the Venture over the Indian. The Venture is a big bike but sure rides smooth.
Ride what you enjoy is the way I look at it. Sure we take a risk in riding. But everything has risk. There's nothing like the freedom of the open road. Well... Maybe that perfect cast or buck or.... Well you guys all know what I mean. Enjoy life and keep on living. We might be relatively stuck at hone these days but it will pass eventually.

Nice. Kind of what I was looking at for a number of years before the boss gave me approval to get serious.

My buddy and I stumbled on a OBB (one broken biker) rally, not even positive it was theirs, but they were out there, in Longview one day in 2018. These photos don't really do it justice. Both sides of the street were packed with bikes. Thinking of Longview, we have been wanting to turn west on hwy 541, travel to the Highwood Junction and then north to the casino at the trans Canada. I have traveled the road in my truck and it would be a great ride on the bike.

Hwy 12 thru Escalante, Utah and all the sheep trails to get there coming from the north. Wasatch Mtns, Utah, Hwy 89 thu Wyoming .... so many great ways to go. Did I mention Chalis to Stanley Idaho? Lolo is over rated and over patrolled - got a ticket from the Idaho speed tax collectors for 10 mph over limit. To eat miles I have an aversion to grandpa glides, sorry. Ride a Triumph Tiger. Great topic thank you all so much for getting my mind off life today.
