So does that mean he was shooting a 350 gr arrow at 70 lbs and 30" draw?
If so, I'd be interested to know if every king cobra at 30" / 70 lbs off the shelf (or assembly line) will do that as a minimum.
It would be great if all the companies would do that and if the standard would change to 6gr/lbs. And maybe even 28" or 29" draw for that matter.
I'd love to try the m32 and the btx31 side by side

The HCA speedpro is capable of shooting at 3gr/lb (Actually warrantied at the spec too) that's how it can shoot so fast, I used to have one

Neither, it was with their "speed pro" arrows and would be under spec weight for IBO. The bow was a 70# 29" draw.

Yep, that's it. the full throttle. It also has a slightly longer brace height and has a considerable lower suggested retail.

Best I could get out of my speed pro was a measly 388 fps. That was at 3 grains/lb and 28" dl.most guys I knew that had them that were 29.5" or longer were breaking 400 fps quite handily.

If your taking claimed IBO/ATA PSE and APA will take that claim...

as mentioned HC claimed 400FPS but that is no where near IBO or ATA...with way under weight arrows...
for example...their 2016 flagship is rated ....
Speed- up to 340-345 FPS IBO
*** up to 400 FPS with the Speed Pro Arrow

Which with same scenio other brands would make that claim also...

For many years independant bow Tests were performed and strict IBO specs were followed and APA came out tops in most...

Most top brands play the speed game and IBO specs are stretched to say the least...Brand X bows claim to have Blah Blah Speed...but brought to actual IBO/ATA specs and speed drops 20 FPS...

If one is serious about true bow speeds ...look for an independand tester with no ties to a bow manufactur ...
Here is a good article on Chasing Bow speed...it will explain a lot...on the fair scale they didnt list a lot of manufacturs in this rating...

When I was younger I saw a guy shoot a compound , apparently for the first time, and he got the wrist slap from hell, he took to cursing and helicopter 'd the bow about 25 yards....to this day I say that was the fastest I've ever seen a bow go lol

Where do you suppose APA OEM'd the cam design they use from? That's right....Bowtech, prior to Bowtech going to the binary system.

Patents and designers and variations of that design and patent go back a lot further than Bowtech concept...Ie Strothers and others before him...
who owns patent on compound bow, solo cam bow etc ...many would be surprized on who owns what and variations of what cam, cam n half, no cam , binary cam etc......

Ask the folks at ABA what company assisted them the most when they started out, with designs and parts. Unless the version of events I heard differs. You know Strothers worked at Bowtech too.
