Default Winter fly fishing Stauffer Creek

It was called Stauffer Creek by old timers. The Gov't changed the name.
Anyways, this stream flows right out of the ground at it's source. The first
mile or so stays open all year then downstream it freezes up. There are some small browns & Brookies where it stays open. Be sure and ask permission as
the upper reaches are all privatley owned. Personally I don't think it is worth while fishing.

You certainly can. Get google earth for access points. Do not bother with those where everybody else fishes, it either is frozen solid or has spooky fish, get to upper reaches. I got ~ 20 of brookies and browns, 5 of them bigger than 16 inches this winter there.
