The ice is off earlier than usual this year will this affect the start and stop of the spring spawn??? Do fish spawn with the location of the sun or the temperature of the water...
Just hoping the hogs are still in shallow water come May 8th.

Well, I watched pike spawning Thursday on 2 southern lakes so its a bit earlier. Wrap up will depend on how warm it stays and whether or not the big ones head out looking for deep cool water. Not sure if pike is what you were interested in, but right now they're concentrated in warm bays.
