Default Report on Newell

On Saturday we got out to Newell. Fishing was really some of the best I've seen at Newell in the last 10 years. We caught several pike ranging from 2 pound to 7 pound area. In addition to the pike, we caught walleye in the 4 pound to 6 pound area. Everything was caught on rattling crank baits in 8 to 14 feet of water. When we slowed down to 2.1 to 2.5 mph trolling we caught nothing but walleye, when we sped up to 3.5 mph trolling it was all pike. Fished North side spillway area and the West side of the lake out from some reeds.
