Question Glennifer Lake

Good day,

Any theories on Glennifer lake? I just recently got a boat and am somewhat new to this Red Deer area for fishing, but for all intents and purposes I would think Glennifer should be a reasonable fishery. Although, it doesn't seem to be that way. Has anyone done any fishing out of Glennifer for Pike or Walleye? Any sort of decent size from it? Has anyone been around the boat dock by Dickson Trout Pond (is it even useable? - the boat dock that is).

I'm used to fishing Newell, Grassy, Rattlesnake, and 40 Mile down south for some good sized Pike. Any suggestions as to where to go? I was recently out to Coal but that is getting pretty weedy and lots of small pike out there.

Cheers!

Kris

My only concern about glennifer would be the oil spill that happened recently. Have you heard if it is cleaned up yet? If so i've heard a few good results from there. Mostly pike from what I hear.

Sounds like they had it cleaned up for this past long weekend... Any experience with the boat launches there?

Default Boat launch

Boat launch is open and used by quite a few boaters to get onto Gleniffer Lake.
