Default Any way of pulling history from Hull ID?

I'm looking at a boat that seems to be too good of a deal. With that said, I'm wondering if there is a way of checking the history on a boat based on the Hull ID? This is online which makes me even more suspicious but thought I could do a bit of background check before I take the cost of making the trip to see it. Any thoughts on pulling the 'background' check would be helpful.

I have never had the problem but my guess would be that you should call the local RCMP (local number not 911) and ask them. They may have a list of lost/stollen boats or at least they may be able to put you in contact with the right people at "service canada" where the registrations are made.

What brand is the boat?

If it's a Lund, you can contact them directly with the serial/hull # and they'll be able to tell you if any warranty claims were made and/or if any dealer/factory service was done to the boat.

Not sure about other brands.
