Default More about George Bugbee's Bear

I did find the first page of the newspaper article about George Bugbee's Bear.
Along with one other old photo. A great piece of some of the history of our
west country.

Buddy of mine had a copy. I had my son make me a copy off his. Wonder if there is another one like this out there?

I used to get Jack Walker to shoe horses for me, in the early 70s, thanks for the picture. The picture of the bear on the stump I got from Fred Walker, hand tinted. Once again thanks for the picture and article.

Funny no naysayers now that they see a side view of the hide. Thanx for posting. Us locals know the story and don't doubt the validity

That is a better picture, gives a sense of proportion. That bear looks like like the size of a 700 pound steer.

I had read some literature somewhere that this Big Grizz was an Alaskan Brown that was a long ways from home..
The late Fred Walker had lots of stories to tell as well.

Great piece of history is right.

Thanks for sharing the pictures and story.
Please continue sharing and ignore the negative comments.
My grandparents farmed west of Condor and Jack Walker was a friend.

I'll have to ask my Grandmother if they knew George Bugbee..
