Ft. Mac bear hunting

I will be in ft. mac this week and was just wondering if anyone new of an area i could try for a bear? I don't want to bait.....spot and stalk?

You might try along pipelines where the growth is greening up. South facing slopes are usually the best.

I`ve been seeing quite a few on the clearwater river lately if you can find someone with a boat thats a good way to go.

Go up Tower road to the first power line. You can stage there and quad down the line. There's bear everywhere down there. The one I took a couple of weeks ago was standing on the line feeding. We saw him about a mile down the line, ditched the quads, and stalked him to within 100 yds and took him. Word of warning...if you have an aftermarket exhaust on your quad, leave your quad and gun in the truck and go to the Oil Can and hunt cougar...they don't mind the noise!!!
