Default lakes around taber

going to taber for a few days,looking for any info on any lakes around town,horsefly,stafford,chin.or any others.thanks

Your best bet would be Chin good access and good fishing.Try bait fishing under the bridge on hiway 36 or the east end dam.Hard to catch a keeper but who cares when you catch alot.Try sturgen fishing down at the forks.It gets fished hard but if your down there at the right time you never know.

I'd stay away from stafford. But fish Sherburne and Chin, can both be done from shore.

I hear the lake right behind the sugar factory has some big pike in it. And theres always the Oldman. (not you Tony) the river!

I wouldnt eat them out of the Sugar Factory Lake,but there are a lot of fish in it.One day 3 of us caught 70 pike out of a boat.I havent seen any big ones pulled out of the lake but I am sure there are.

I grew up in taber and fished sugar factory a ton. There is some good sized pike in there for sure but I don't think very many monsters. There is also some walleye in there. Never caught any while trying to target them but have caught them while fishing for gators out there.

I heard that MILK RIDGE is a 'Great Place' to fish also...
