Default Bow Zone Bruiser

Couple weeks ago I put a few permanent tree stands in the Edmonton bow zone. Managed to get out hunting Friday night with my Dad who was visiting from Ontario. We saw a total of 4 does in the field at 3pm going in but we still decided to play the wind and setup along the trails back off the field. The night was calm with not much wind, lots of squirrel action near both of us and I almost manged a shot at a coyote. The daylight was quickly fading and my Dad radio me saying, "well I think that's about it.". I didn't respond to him because I was trying to concentrate on the buck 25+ yards out in front of my stand. I grunted to stop the buck before releasing my arrow. I lost sight of the arrow but it made a good sound as it hit the deer. The deer took off into the bush, bounded away 30 to 40 yards and then disappeared over the crest of the hill. The deer made quite a bit of noise breaking timber. I radio my Dad and we follow the blood trail 40 yards are so and find this guy:

He's a 6x4 (6x5 with a broken tine)

It was an old break .... dam deduction. He should squeak into the P&Y record book but have to wait a few months.
