Default Has Pine Lake recovered?

Years ago this was my favourite lake in central alberta, but a couple years ago there was that oxygen shortage that killed a lot of fish. I haven't been there since then, and I'm wondering if you guys know if it's good fishing again.

Thanks

Pine Lake was amazing in the early 2000s. Since then I've only fished it twice and it was pretty bad.

Exactly. I really wonder if it has recovered.

Was there a couple years ago and hammered walleye. 3 people in the boat. Prolly caught over 40 walleye in an afternoon. Just have to find the right spot I guess. Water wasn't too green with algae at that time but haven't been back for for a couple years now. I may make it there this year yet. if I do I will let u know how it was.

Thumbs down

I'm on Pine Lake and can tell you you will catch lots of baby pike that are maybe 15cm. Walleye are there but very hard to find. I haven't caught one in 3 years. Bassically it is a skiing recreation lake not a fishing lake.

Folks have a place up there on the east side and my Dad has been catching Walleye from his dock all year...earlier on he was getting them on shallow cranks but now with the weeds up he's switched to weedless jig and is doing well though in truth loosing most of them to those same weeds! Side note he saw a guy catch and keep a pretty large Pike this past weekend in the 15lbs range, so there in there!
