Default Nakamun

It's been a few years since I've been out but I was thinking of bringing my son and his friend out for some perch. I know they're small there but if it's like it was 15yrs ago the kids should have a good time. Can anyone tell me the condition of the lake before I drive all the way out there? Also where can I launch a 17' boat there? All I had before was a 14' tinner.

Thanks in advance.

The launch is good. Brand new in fact.
No dock though.

The fishing is terrible now. Between winter kills and 1 summer kill, the lake hasn't recovered well.
I fished that lake religiously as a youngster, really sucks to see.

That's sad to here. I grew up 15 min from there and had lots of great fishing in that lake.

This lake has been dead for about thelast 15 years or so anyways. I think it's had a couple of rebirths along the way but short lived I'm afraid. Personally I wouldn't waste the gas to get there, as you will likely be disappointed like I was.

2 winters ago the perch ice fishing was awesome, but it was almost completely winter killed since then

it is just starting to recover this year, lots of minnows along cabin areas in spring time, but this hot summer killed off lots of them off as well

hopefully in a couple more years it will come back
