Default Dads Old Rifle

Evening Folks,

I am in possesion of my dads old 303 and he has since gone to the hunting land in the sky. What is the best way to get rid of it as it was never registered or anything like that. I have my guns registered but not his ?

You can register it with the CFC, no problem.
DO NOT "get rid of it" !!

Register it by calling 18007314000
Have the barrel length, model number and serial number ready

Takes 5 minutes

Look on the side of the reciver to see what model it is. Most likely a No 1 mk 3 or a No 4 mk 2. Then measure the barrel, to do this close the bolt on an empty chamber and insert a cleaning rod, measure how deep it goes before it hits the bolt face.

Once you have this info phone 1-800-731-4000 and register it. Simple as that, you can keep the rifle legally!

Like everyone else has said...just register it. They don't care where it came from. I had one that was unregistered and the previous owner didn't want his name brought up.
I just told them that I picked it up at a yard sale that I happened upon while driving back roads.

I registered an old shotgun that was previously unregistered (gift). No problem. Verifier did his work and they did their check too.
